Smudge, missing from Kingston since March 21st, was reunited with her family this evening. I caught her by hand in Wilkes-Barre on Gilligan St. She was right by Ashley.

Special thanks to our friend Lisa, who called this evening to ask if I still help lost dogs. We helped her years ago with her lost pup, so I know her property well.

She saw a dog hiding in the woods behind her house, but didn’t know Smudge was missing. When I saw the photo I knew it was immediately her. Grateful for Lisa’s call, kindness, and for leaving a scared growling dog just be and calling. Smudge was on the end of a cliff, a mere foot from falling off onto railroad tracks far below.

With lots of patience and about a good 35 minutes of building trust, I was able to lure her out of the thick brush and leash her. Poor girl was soooo very scared.

Thrilled to report that we safely trapped the 4th dumped dog tonight in Laurel Run on the top of the mountain! She was running since at least June 3rd.
What an insane weather night to drive and trap in, it was brutal. Especially trying to get her out of the trap during the storm in heavy downpours, lighting and thunder.
Slowly gained her trust and together we trusted each other to get to safety and out of the wicked weather.
She is loaded with ticks, gave her a bath late this evening before tucking her in for the night with our friends at Blue Chip. Can’t wait until they meet her in the morning. ??
This pup was scared to death at first, failed by humans. Yet as soon as she knew she could trust me she crawled onto my lap. If only humans had hearts as beautiful as creatures imagine all the love that would exist in this World. ??

After 10 days on the run, we are thrilled to report that I captured Remi missing from Mountain Top by hand.

Story and thank you’s will be posted later as it’s been a very long day and I just got home after midnight. Worked 4 lost dogs besides a full work schedule. 2 dogs are home safe as of 05/28/24 hoping for another one later today.
