Alfie – Recovered – 01-10-2021

January 10, 2021 By tracey

We just trapped Alfie missing from Scranton since December 30!! ? you Alfie. ?

We made 8 trips to Scranton to locate and capture this little fellow. Leaving him out there alone wasn’t an option. Thank you in advance for your support. ?

Alfie came from an awful hoarding house with 39 other dogs before coming into the rescue.

He immediately escaped from his foster home as soon as he arrived there on December 30 in Scranton. This poor boy is so “broken” from his past life, anything and everything is terrifying to him and he will flee at all costs.

It’s okay Alfie, we understand you and love you. It will get better from here buddy, I promise. Just hang in there, no one is going to neglect or hurt you ever again. ? you Alfie. ?

Steeler – Recovered – 10-11-2020

Steeler

Steeler has been missing from Swoyersville since 08/24/2020. He made it all the way to Shavertown and crossed 309. He ended up off of Pioneer Ave in the woods behind Warden Ave.

Today, we got the sighting that we have been waiting for…..the sighting that got him home. Our friend Bridget saw a post in a Facebook group and immediately sent it to you to see if it was the dog we had posted as lost. I saw the photo and immediately said to my hubby that’s him, “let’s go”. Thank you Bridget for messaging me!!

A huge thank you to Christine for posting the sighting!! Thank you to Christine and Kevin for letting us completely invade your property without hesitation to help Steeler. You both are wonderful, thank you from the bottom of our hearts without your sighting and allowing us to use your property, he would still be lost out there.

Myself and my husband got there very quickly and set up food and a camera. Jeff saw him in the woods when he was setting up the food. We had Steeler’s mom come with her other dog and just had her walk around a small area by the woods to try to lure him out. She heard him in the woods, but he didn’t come out. We didn’t want her to go into the woods as that would have scared him and pushed him out.

We decided to set the trap with the storms coming in today and wait it out. Less than an hour and a half later, Steeler found the food and the trap. He was super hungry and went right in and demolished everything in the trap. Steeler didn’t even care that the door closed, he was too busy eating.

He has lost a lot of weight and is exhausted as expected. But, he is safe and will be seeing his vet tomorrow for a checkup. His gums look good and he looks good for being lost so long and being a senior with hip dysplasia.

Thank you everyone that shared posts, watched for him, and prayed. Steeler is a sweetheart and we love him. Welcome home handsome, your mom and family were so worried about you.

Never give up hope and if you work with us…..we certainly won’t let you give up…..that’s not an option in my book.

Capture and reunion video below. How stinking cute is Steeler? Those eyes melted my heart.

August 7, 2020 By tracey

Zoey lives in Pittsburgh but was in visiting with family in Lattimer when she became frightened and jumped a fence on Sunday, July 12. Below is Zoey’s capture video from this evening. She is such a skittish dog, but is also gentle and sweet.

Thank you to the guys at Lattimer Machine & Fabricating Company for letting us use your property to feed and trap Zoey. Thank you to Zoey’s family for trusting us to get her back home safe and sound.

Thank you to my wonderful friend Denise for setting up the camera last night at the food station and for setting up the trap with me today for Zoey. I’m so thankful for your friendship.  Maybe someday we can actually eat dinner together again. And thank you to my hubby for always loading my traps into my truck so I’m ready to go and for always having my back. <3

Welcome home Zoey, stay safe!!  you pretty girl.

Buddy – Recovered – 04-26-2020

April 29, 2020 By tracey

Buddy’s capture video from Sunday, April 26th. He went missing from Lower Demunds Road in Dallas on 04/08/20 and made it all the way to Centermoreland where we trapped him. This boy covered some serious ground with his leash still attached.

Special thanks to the Williams’ for letting me use their pavilion as a food station and to trap him there. It was pouring rain almost the entire day on Sunday. You can hear how loud the rain was in the video.

Welcome home sweetheart,  you Buddy!!
